Tyler grew up in Apple Valley, MN and stayed extremely busy playing highly competitive hockey and golf. After high school he earned his Bachelor's Degree from the Herberger School of Business at St. Cloud State University and was looking for new challenges and a chance at expanding his comfort zone. He moved to Phoenix, AZ to begin his sales and marketing career in the pool and recreation industry.
After a couple years in the desert and countless time playing golf in his leisure time, Tyler returned to Minnesota looking for a more fulfilling career and to join a team environment with positive colleagues. In February of 2014 Tyler found just what he was looking for when he joined Rocksolid, Inc. Through a humbling experience as an entry level trainee, Tyler has been able to take everything he learned and become one of the strongest trainers in the office and has a growing passion for success. His constant humor is a delight to customers and co-workers alike! We're thrilled to see Tyler win the award and as a token of appreciation, Rocksolid, Inc. will be sending Tyler to Orlando, FL to meet with a team of executives (and play a little golf) for additional leadership training as his future with the company continues to get brighter!!
He also has a passion for dinosaurs so here is a picture of him pretending to be a T-Rex next to the skull of a Triceratops (yes it's real!) at the North Dakota Museum of Natural History in Valley City, ND.

In Gopher We Trust
Congratulations to Justin Trusty for being chosen as the recipient of the Leader Spotlight Award here at Rocksolid, Inc!
Over the last few months we have not been sharing this award because unfortunately no employees at Rocksolid, Inc have been earning the spotlight. Since we're not in the business of handing out participation ribbons, President Ryan McIntosh has neglected to give out rewards for just 'showing up'.
That all ended recently, whether it is a New Year's resolution or a sudden burst in motivation, Justin Trusty has been excelling in all aspects of business here at Rocksolid, Inc. He's proven to be successful in sales, marketing, training, running campaign meetings and even getting involved with Human Resources as an interviewer. After graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2013 Justin began his career at Rocksolid. He's had the opportunity to travel for all over the upper Midwest from Fargo to Chicago and even earned himself a trip to New Orleans for some additional training while catching a little R&R.
Travel and training is great, but it's what Justin has done with the training that stands out. He's taken everything he's learned over the last few months and applied it to his work, diligently. Having zero sales or marketing experience and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Justin certainly was not projected to be an all star in the first year of his new career but that appears to be what he's turning into. Hard work and putting other's goals ahead of his own and doing what's right instead of always doing what's easy has set Justin on a path to success.
As January comes to a close we're extremely proud and excited to see what else Justin accomplishes in 2014! Congrats!

Change in Weather...Change in Attitude
Congrats to Mike Martiny for earning our Employee Spotlight Award! Mike has taught us all a lesson in the learning curve. No matter how much people try to develop others' skills and pass on knowledge, some people just learn, adapt, and progress differently. Mike is a perfect example of this.
Shortly after graduating from the University of St. Thomas here in Minnesota, Mike left his background in health and sciences and started a new journey in sales & marketing. His natural charm and charisma helped him grasp the new industry quickly and he performed well. However, it was after his first couple months that Mike seemed to have plateaued and hit some sort of barrier preventing him from taking the next step forward in his career.
As September draws to a close, it appears the winds of autumn have seemingly affected his career path. After a minor change in leadership he seems to have regained his focus and has become a pacesetter for Rocksolid, Inc as a Sales & Marketing Rep as well as a trainer and leader. Congrats Mike! You're the perfect example of how sticktoitiveness and hard work ALWAYS work out for the best!

Setting the Right Example and Stealing the Spotlight
Congrats to Max Robbins on winning the Rocksolid, Inc. Employee Spotlight Award!! In only three months Max has proven experience and age (not that anyone keeps track of that around here) are not the significant factors most people believe they are. Most college grads spend their 20's trying to gain work experience, further educate themselves, travel, and find a passion they can make a career. The problem is at the end of each endeavor, people don't stop and realize what they've gained unless it has a university's stamp of approval on it in some form of a graduate degree. Max has taken a different route and decided to make the most out of his first year after college by attacking his daily work agenda and most importantly, reaching out and helping others succeed.
In only three years, Max graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in May of 2013 and started his career in full swing. Although, Max has plans to return to school for an MBA he has wasted no time taking a front row seat in the classroom learning about face to face sales and marketing. Through hard work, commitment, dedication and proactive goal setting, Max has become one of the top Client Managers at Rocksolid, Inc and is on his way to getting promoted to Assistant Manager by late 2013. Max has proven that when a task or a job is laid out in front of you, there really is no reason to not give it your all, you never know what you might accomplish! Great job, Max!!! Keep it up!!

Congrats to Matthew Newlin on Winning the Employee Spotlight Award!!!
Matt is the perfect example of why hard work pays off. After a successful and competitive football career at Bethel University, Matt wasn't sure what path he wanted to go down in life. Having worked in multiple labor positions during his summers to help pay for his college education he had zero experience in the business world nor any experience working with customers. In skills where Matt fell short, he made up with his leadership, time management, work ethic, and a no excuses, do the work attitude.
Although struggles were present early, Matt overcame the obstacles many people so often run from and was able to become a skilled Account Manager for Rocksolid, Inc. Not only has he found his own successes, he has been able to spread his knowledge and become one of the top trainers in the office and is on pace to join the management team by the end of the year! Congrats Matt! We're very excited to see what else you accomplish!

Rocksolid Inc Reviews Entry Level Client Manager
Rocksolid Inc reviews the ‘Entry Level Client Manager’ career path within the company. In this post, Rocksolid Inc reviews why a person should try to ADD value to a corporation and the notion of creating value for yourself can pay off in the end. If you are looking to bring something to the table that few others can, you become irreplaceable.
Although more and more companies are hiring now than a few years ago, the economy is still in the dumps. There isn’t an excess of money that the government will give you just for being unemployed…oh wait, yes they will…BUT THE MONEY WILL RUN OUT! 24% of 2011 graduates are employed, leaving a majority either underemployed or without jobs.
So what is someone to do to get a decent job these days? Demonstrate value. You are up against a ton of other people in the job market who are unemployed, employed and looking for something more fulfilling, or underemployed. What sets you apart from these people? Your college degree? They have those too. Firms like us here at Rocksolid Inc review candidacy for employment based on factors like leadership experience, a track-record of volunteerism, affiliations with fraternities or sororities, participation in intramural sports, etc. Some companies know that since you are just beginning your career, there is another level of qualifications to look at. You should highlight the above qualifications during the interview process.
Corporations that offer highly skilled entry level positions may be hard to come by, but just may be worth the money that you forked out in tuition. The average income for a software engineer with less than three years of experience is $72,000. More and more people are getting their college degree and entering the workforce and the supply of entry level workers is increasing. Unfortunately in this situation, the demand for these types of candidates lessens.
Entry level positions are neither glamorous nor exciting. They are not highly coveted positions and they require hard work and earning your keep. Just realize…you have to start SOMEWHERE.
The grunt-work of entry level positions is hard work. Rocksolid Inc jobs in the entry level position are no exclusion. That being said, stepping up your game in any entry level position is what will set you apart from your competition. If you are looking to really stand out, look for an entry level sales position. Not only can you make more money if you do well, but you can also learn some great skills that will help you later in life. Almost all CEO’s started their career in sales.
Many sales companies offer advancement opportunities, but only after a few years. For instance, just imagine how long an entry level stockbroker has to jam out phone calls to create leads for the ‘closers.’ Rocksolid Inc reviews our entry level employees’ performance on a daily and weekly basis, and promote accordingly. Some of the company’s top reps are promoted into a managing partnership position within a matter of weeks. At RockSolid, only those that can add value get promoted.
So whether it’s with Rocksolid Inc or another company, be sure that you aren’t looking for just a paycheck. Employers can spot that a mile away. You will find meaningful employment when you shift your mentality from ‘looking for a job’ to ‘adding value to a company.’ Also, don’t look for ‘balance’ early in your career. Successful people work the hardest in the beginning, not in the end.

Congrats to Mallory Hughes for Winning the Top Leader Pin!
Hard work, dedication, and a great attitude has propelled Mallory Hughes into an award winning role at Rocksolid, Inc!
After graduating from Ohio University, Mallory began her career at Rocksolid, Inc in our Cleveland, Ohio office. Although grasping sales and marketing is not an easy task for anyone, Mallory quickly proved she was a cut above by becoming one of the top Account Managers in less than one month!
Playing an integral role in Rocksolid, Inc.'s success in Cleveland, Mallory continually challenged herself and joined the expansion team in Minnesota in 2012. Mallory has proved business is not all about dollars and cents, it's about building strong relationships with those around you. By ALWAYS putting others goals, interests and actions ahead of her own, she has been able to not only help others, but help herself. Congrats on receiving the award, Mallory! We couldn't be more excited for when you join the Management team this summer! Keep up the excellent work!
